Niyaa People is recruiting a Contract Manager for a Dorset-based contractor overseeing small works projects. You will manage projects from instruction through to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, quality and commercial targets, while coordinating trades, subcontractors, clients and internal teams.

This role requires driving and travel to sites across Dorset, with a focus on maintaining strong client relationships, managing estimates handover, and controlling project costs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Contract Manager or Small Works Manager role.
• Experience managing projects from instruction through to completion.
• Strong organisational and programme management skills.
• Experience coordinating trades, subcontractors and materials.
• Good commercial awareness, including cost control and budget management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive problem-solving and project ownership.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across Dorset.

We are recruiting a Contract Manager for an established contractor operating across Dorset, overseeing projects within their Small Works Department!

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial instruction through to successful completion, ensuring works are delivered on time, to the required quality standards and within agreed commercial parameters.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contracts professional to join a growing team, taking ownership of multiple projects while coordinating trades, subcontractors, clients and internal departments.

Our client delivers a range of small works projects and is looking for someone who can confidently manage contracts, coordinate resources and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

As a Contract Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, working closely with estimators, commercial colleagues and operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from quotation and award through to delivery. You will also coordinate directly employed trades, procure materials and manage subcontractors to ensure projects progress efficiently.
