Job summary

GAP Group Limited is seeking a skilled Tool Mechanic to service and maintain a wide range of small tool equipment within the GAP fleet. You will diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime while ensuring safety standards are met.

Working in our Plant & Tool division, you'll update service records, support the depot team to keep equipment available, and deliver excellent customer service. Full training is provided if you're new to plant hire, and a valid driving license is

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a mechanical role; training provided if not from plant hire.
• Experience with petrol and electrical tools is beneficial.
• Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Customer-focused mindset and a collaborative team spirit.
• Full, valid driving licence preferred but not essential.

What You’ll Bring: We're looking for someone with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach, including:

• Proven experience working in a mechanical role - candidates out with the plant hire industry are welcomed as full training will be provided!

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• A customer-focused mindset and a collaborative team spirit
