Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire in Wishaw is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to deliver specialist services to clients with communication and swallowing difficulties across diverse settings. You will work within a multidisciplinary team; HCPC registered with a degree in Speech and Language Pathology, and a full UK/EU driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent.
• Registered Speech and Language Therapist with valid HCPC Registration.
• Post Graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates breadth of knowledge.

Responsibilities

• All clinical decisions based on Care Aims philosophy ensuring risk and outcomes are evaluated.
• Provide assessment, differential diagnosis, intervention and discharge for communication, language, speech, voice, fluency and dysphagia.
• Inform clinical judgments for complex cases and advise others (parents, carers, other professionals).
