Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) invites applications for a part-time Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Glasgow Community Stroke Team. You will autonomously manage a clinical caseload and deliver a comprehensive SLT service along the stroke recovery pathway, while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential: stroke experience, dysphagia training, HCPC registration and UK driving licence. The role offers agile working with home visits across Greater Glasgow.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered and degree in Speech and Language Therapy mandatory.
• Dysphagia training and stroke experience required.
• UK driving licence essential.
• Supervision/education experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess capacity and obtain valid consent within legal frameworks.
• Assess and plan SLT intervention for stroke patients.
• Manage an identified caseload and act as a key worker in MDT.
• Collaborate with MDT to optimise patient care and MDT meetings.
• Provide CPD and education to staff, carers and other agencies.
