Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to manage complex dysphagia and communication needs in the hyper acute stroke unit (HASU) at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. This fixed-term/secondment until June 2027 offers a supportive team and opportunities for service development.

Hours are 36 per week; part-time would be considered. You will lead on education for SLT students, audit and quality improvement, and benefit from supervision and a collaborative, forward-thinking

Responsibilities

• Lead on the assessment and management of complex dysphagia and communication needs in the HASU, including instrumental assessments.
• Deliver education to SLT students and support learning for AHP, nursing, and medical colleagues
• Lead on audit, service development, quality improvement
• Participate in peer support, clinical supervision, and appraisal processes
