Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5) to work across adults with learning disabilities in the Forest of Dean and Gloucester areas. The post supports newly qualified practitioners and offers mentorship and clinical supervision within a supportive MDT.

Travel is required across sites with some scope for virtual appointments and home working.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Band 5 entry level for Speech and Language Therapist.
• Community-based role with travel to multiple sites.
• Support through mentorship and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist communication assessments and interventions to individuals or groups.
• Provide eating and drinking assessments and interventions within professional competencies.
• Support the provision of SLT services to adults with learning disabilities.
• Deliver education, training, and advice to colleagues and carers.
• Provide clinical supervision for less experienced SLTs and STudents.
