Job summary

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust invites applications for a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist - Learning Disability. You will support adults with learning disabilities across various settings, from homes to day centres, in a diverse caseload that emphasizes communication and independence.

You’ll join a skilled multidisciplinary team with opportunities to lead and supervise SLTs. Training is provided, and a Band 7 level is targeted, with Band 6 considered for capable candidates.

Qualifications

• All training provided for LD specialists.
• Band 7 advertised, but Band 6 or progression considered for suitably qualified candidates.
• Interview date to be confirmed (TBC).

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, and implement Speech and Language Therapy programmes for adults with learning disabilities.
• Work as part of an expert multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, and behaviour specialists.
• Inspire and lead your team and drive best practices in LD SLT.
• Supervise and manage other SLTs, providing leadership in this specialism.
