Job summary

Orbital Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Class 2 Skip Driver for a busy transport operation based in Ilkeston. You will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclable materials between customer sites and processing facilities.

Key duties include driving a Class 2 skip vehicle, following routes, vehicle checks, customer liaison on site, and completing paperwork, while adhering to site and transport safety procedures.

Qualifications

• LGV Cat C / Class 2 licence is required.
• Current Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience.
• Good geographical knowledge.

Class 2 Skip Driver

Location: Ilkeston

Pay: £14.50 per hour + overtime (paid at 1.25x)

Hours: 40 - 60 hours per week

Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Orbital Recruitment are looking for an experienced Class 2 Skip Driver to join a busy transport operation based in Ilkeston.

You’ll be responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclable materials between customer sites and processing facilities.

Duties include:

• Driving a Class 2 skip vehicle


• Following daily routes and schedules


• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects


• Liaising professionally with customers on site


• Completing relevant paperwork


• Following site and transport safety procedures

You will need:

• LGV Cat C / Class 2 licence


• Current Driver CPC

Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays during busy periods.


• Approximately 40 - 60 hours per week, with enhanced overtime rates available for hours over 40.


• £14.50 per hour + overtime (1.25x)
