Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment Ltd in Hatfield is seeking a Class 2 skip driver to join our client, a waste disposal and recycling service.

You will deliver and collect skips from customer sites, drive a Class 2 vehicle, and adhere to tachograph and HSE rules. UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards required; 6 months' experience preferred. Shifts are Monday to Friday with immediate starts and weekly pay, plus overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 2 driving licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially.
• UK DCPC card and Digi-tacho card required.
• No DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements; up to 6 points accepted.
• Knowledge of WTD regulations.
• UK resident with ability to travel to site.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Class 2 skip vehicle.
• Deliver and collect skips from customer sites.
• Transport waste to disposal facilities.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Provide professional customer service and follow health & safety rules.

Pay Rate: £19.05- £28.58 p/h
Shifts:Monday to Friday
Driver Type:Class 2 - refuse driver
Experience:6 months class 2 experience - essential
Contract: Temp to Perm (12 weeks)

Previous experience working in the waste industry would be beneficial.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Driving and operating a Class 2 skip vehicle
• Delivering and collecting skips from customer sites

• Completing all required paperwork accurately
• Providing professional customer service
• Following drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
• Complying with health and safety and environmental proceduresAll applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 6 months experience driving commercially. You must have experience on the skips.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
