Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Skin Cancer Pathway Navigator to support the dermatology cancer pathway from referral through to diagnosis or discharge. You will coordinate administrative processes around the patient, ensuring timely and compassionate progression with a strong emphasis on patient experience.

The role requires excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, accuracy and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Significant administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate smooth running of the skin cancer patient journey through coordinated admin processes.
• Support the Management Team, CNS and Skin Cancer Team under supervision.
• Liaise with clinical and booking teams to manage checkpoints in the patient journey.
• Track and escalate patients referred on the cancer pathway in line with wait time guidance.
• Be adaptable and willing to work flexibly as the service develops.
• Provide a caring, empathetic approach and support across multiple sites.
