Job Description

Summary

Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Skills Projects Coordinator.

This is a Fixed Term Contract until August 2026. Part Time, working 3 days per week to include Thursday and Friday (0.6 FTE).

The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Swindon, Bristol, Cambridge, Newcastle, York, Manchester or Birmingham. We will consider remote working.

What you will be doing

The Skills Projects Coordinator’s principal responsibility will be coordinating and administering skills development programmes for the heritage sector managed by Historic England. Working closely with the Skills and Training Placements Coordinator in Sector Resilience and Skills, and the Early Careers and Resourcing Coordinator in HR, you will have a particular focus on our Future Talent Programme, which provides tiered placements both inside and outside of Historic England, targeted at people from demographic groups currently under-represented in the heritage sector workforce.

Travel: whilst the majority of work will be desk-based, it is expected some travel across England will be required in this role.
