Job summary

Think FE Ltd is seeking an experienced electrical professional to join a well-established Further Education college in Hull as an Electrical Skills Coach. You will coach, mentor and assess apprentices, ensuring they meet industry standards while working collaboratively with employers to monitor progress and facilitate successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Electrical qualification is mandatory.
• An Assessor qualification is mandatory.
• Previous experience assessing Electrical apprentices or learners is required.
• Strong knowledge of the electrical industry and current standards is essential.
• Excellent communication, coaching and organisational skills are required.
• A genuine commitment to helping apprentices develop and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, mentoring and reviewing electrical apprentices throughout their programme.
• Assessing learners against relevant apprenticeship standards.
• Carrying out progress reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Supporting learners to develop practical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours.
• Working closely with employers to monitor progress and provide guidance.
• Supporting apprentices at employer sites, college and remotely.
• Helping learners prepare for successful completion and achieve high grades.
• Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and achievement.

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire, with travel to employer sites and some remote working

Salary: £36,800 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

This is an excellent opportunity to use your electrical industry experience in a different way, supporting apprentices as they develop the practical skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career. You’ll work closely with learners and employers, providing coaching, mentoring and assessment throughout the apprenticeship journey.

The role

• Coaching, mentoring and reviewing electrical apprentices throughout their programme
• Assessing learners against relevant apprenticeship standards
