Job summary

Think FE Ltd in Hull is recruiting an experienced electrical professional to join a well-established further education college as an Electrical Skills Coach. You will coach, mentor and assess electrical apprentices to develop practical skills and knowledge across college, employer premises, and remote settings.

The role requires assessing learners, providing progress reviews and feedback, and maintaining records to help learners achieve high grades.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Electrical qualification and Assessor qualification.
• Experience assessing Electrical apprentices or learners.
• Strong communication, coaching and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, mentoring and reviewing electrical apprentices throughout their programme.
• Assessing learners against relevant apprenticeship standards.
• Carrying out progress reviews and providing feedback.
• Supporting learners to develop practical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours.
• Working closely with employers to monitor progress and provide guidance.
• Supporting apprentices at employer premises, at the college and remotely.
• Helping learners prepare for successful completion of their apprenticeship and achieve high grades.

Salary: £36,800 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

The role

• Carrying out progress reviews and providing clear, constructive feedback
• Supporting learners to develop their practical skills, knowledge and professional behaviours
• Working closely with employers to monitor progress and provide guidance
• Supporting apprentices at employer premises, at the college and remotely
• Helping learners prepare for successful completion of their apprenticeship and achieve the highest grades possible
• Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and achievement

What do you need?
