Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Tutor/Assessor for a centre-based role in West Yorkshire. The role involves delivering a Level 3 Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, both theory and practical, with on-site learner assessments and curriculum development support.

The ideal candidate will hold Teaching and Assessor Awards (AET/PTLLS) and TAQA/CAVA/A1 or D Units, plus a Level 3 Electrical Installation/Maintenance qualification, and a valid 17th Edition or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Electrical Apprenticeships up to Level 3.
• Must hold Teaching and Assessor Awards (AET/PTLLS).
• Must hold Level 3 Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
• Must hold C&G 17th Edition or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a Level 3 Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship (practical and theoretical).
• Contribute to curriculum design and develop practical tasks and learning resources.
• Carry out on-site visits to assess learners in their place of work and in classroom settings.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners' needs.

Job Title: Electrical Tutor / Assessor

Location: West Yorkshire - Centre based

Salary: £45,000 + OTE of up to £8k

This is great opportunity to join an established training provider, to support the growth and development of their brand-new, Electrical Engineering department.

Duties include:

• Deliver a Level 3 Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, covering both practical and theoretical competencies (one to one and group delivery).
• Contribute to curriculum design and development, supporting the creation of practical tasks, assessments and learning resources.
• Carry out on site visits, to assess learners within their place of work, in addition to classroom-based training.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in a similar role, delivering Electrical Apprenticeships, up to Level 3.
• Must hold a recognised Teaching and Assessor Awards (AET, PTLLS etc) and (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D Units)
• Must hold the following qualifications:
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
  • C&G th edition or equivalent.
• Strong competency, as an Electrician.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
