Job summary

SER Limited in Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland, seeks an experienced Skilled Welder for a night shift. The role focuses on MIG welding to a high standard, with the ability to read engineering drawings (including AutoCAD) and perform in-process quality checks.

You will work four nights per week (Mon-Thu) from 4:45pm to 3:15am, with overtime opportunities. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with a 10% night-shift premium.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings; ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings.
• Skilled MIG welder with ability to produce high-quality welds to specifications.
• Experience conducting in-process quality checks and adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Skilled Welder - Night Shift

Location: Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland Pay: £19.80-£24.20 per hour including 10% night-shift premium Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4:45pm-3:15am Overtime: Overtime 1.5x - 2x

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Skilled Welder to join an established manufacturing company based in Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MIG Welder looking for a four-night working week, competitive pay and regular overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and accurately interpreting engineering and AutoCAD drawings
• MIG welding to a high standard using three-phase MIG welding equipment
• Producing high-quality welds in line with company specifications
• Operating workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools
• Carrying out in-process quality checks
• Identifying and minimising welding defects
• Working to production and efficiency targets
• Using the company's MRP system and following production processes
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all company health & safety procedures
• Working independently and using your own initiative
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship throughout the production process
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties required by the Team Leader or Production Manager

Working Hours

Monday - Thursday: 4:45pm - 3:15am

Four-night working week, giving you Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.
