Job summary

Randstad Inhouse Services is seeking a skilled Welder for Larne, Northern Ireland, offering a 4-day work week and strong earning potential through premium overtime. You will join a world-class manufacturing team performing MMA/MIG welding on custom containers and skid bases, with safety and quality at the forefront.

The role requires an NVQ level 3 or equivalent, ability to read complex drawings, and flexibility to work day or night shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Fabrication/Welding.
• Able to read and interpret complex engineering prints and schematic drawings.
• Strong arithmetic skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Willing to work day and night shifts with overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MMA/MIG welding, gas welding, brazing and soldering on custom containers, silencers and skid bases.
• Fabricate, modify and rework complex structures often without detailed prints or fixtures.
• Interpret technical drawings and plan work sequence effectively.
• Maintain safety, quality standards and 5S workplace organisation.
• Mentor and train other team members when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MMA/MIG welding, gas welding, brazing, and soldering on custom containers, silencers, and skid bases.
• Fabricate, modify, and rework complex structures-often without the aid of detailed prints or fixtures.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and plan your work sequence effectively.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety, quality standards, and 5S workplace organisation practices.
• Mentor and train other team members when required, upholding core company values.

Qualifications

• Formal Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Fabrication/Welding.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering prints and schematic assembly drawings.
• Strong practical arithmetic skills and ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
• Flexibility to work both day and night shift rotations, plus overtime when required.

Job Details & Benefits

• Location: Larne (BT40 1EJ)
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Thursday) - 3-Day Weekends!
• Compensation:
• Day Shift: 18.67/hr
• Night Shift: 24.89/hr
• Overtime Rate OT1.5 : 28.01/h for the first 10 hours)
• Overtime Rate OT2.0 : 37.34/h After 10 hours)
