Job summary

Arriva is seeking a skilled PSV Mechanic for our Southend depot. The role covers servicing, maintenance and diagnostics on a fleet of buses and coaches to Arriva and DVSA standards, with a focus on reliability and safety.

We offer a full-time contract with clear progression, 40 hours per week plus overtime, and generous leave including 25 days holiday and 8 bank holidays. Training to drive a bus is provided and there are strong wellbeing and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in PSV/HGV maintenance, pending confirmation.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less).
• Fit for PCV pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• MOT preparation and preventative maintenance campaigns.
• Fault diagnosis to maintain vehicle reliability.
• Attend roadside breakdowns as required.
