Job summary

Scottish Borders Housing Association is seeking a time-served Painter and Decorator for a permanent, full-time role based in the Scottish Borders. You will lead painting and decorating across diverse housing stock, performing repairs, maintenance and planned upgrades while upholding safety standards and tenant wellbeing.

The role requires a City and Guilds Level 2 or equivalent, a valid UK driving licence, and a focus on quality with minimal disruption to tenants.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 2 in qualification or equivalent trade qualification, or equivalent through training and experience.
• Must be a time-served Painter and Decorator.
• Demonstrate all round skills applicable to the trade.
• Carry out work with minimum supervision.
• High-quality workmanship with minimal disruption to tenants.

Responsibilities

• Deliver painting and decorating work across varied housing stock.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, cyclical works and planned upgrades.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and timescales.
