Job summary

ABP is recruiting for permanent and temporary skilled and semi-skilled butchers at our Kingswinford site. Working Monday to Friday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, this on-site role offers a chance to join a hardworking team delivering quality work.

Applicants should have previous food production experience; knife skills for skilled roles or be willing to learn. You’ll work with the butchery team to meet customer specifications, with on-site block tests as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food production environment is essential.
• Ability to demonstrate knife skills for the skilled roles, or willingness to learn in semi-skilled/ trainee roles.
• Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work within the butchery team to meet daily planning orders to a high standard.
• Bone out and trim products to meet specs while maximizing yield.
• Breakdown lamb cuts to client specifications.
• Uphold health, safety and food safety policies.
• Operate processing equipment safely to improve efficiency.
• Maintain product labelling, traceability, and quality standards.
• Participate in on-site block test as part of recruitment.
• Work on own initiative and as part of a team to satisfy customers.
