Job summary

Dunbia in Llanybydder is hiring skilled and semi-skilled Abattoir Operatives to join our team. You will work on the humane slaughtering and processing of lamb and beef, following strict health, safety and animal welfare standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a red meat abattoir, particularly with lamb and beef.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Commitment to animal welfare and ethical practices.
Reliable, hardworking and able to follow procedures.
CoC essential for Skilled Operative role.
Experience using bladed tools and heavy duty processing equipment.
Able to work in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

Process lamb and cattle in line with health, safety and animal welfare standards.
Skinning and evisceration of lamb and beef carcasses to high standards.
Operate machinery and equipment to prepare carcasses for further processing.
Maximise yields while minimising contamination and waste.
Work to production targets while ensuring quality and consistency.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and maintain high standards.
Assist with cleaning and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
