Job summary

Cranswick PLC in Ballymena is seeking experienced butchers to join our cutting team. You will cut and trim carcasses to specification, remove bones, and operate all saws on the cutting line, meeting tight production targets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• To work to the department targets and yields, cutting and butchering any part of the carcass to specification
• All muscles on any primal, on any line, within the Butchery Hall to be cut correctly, seamed and trimmed to the required standard
• All bones to be removed from any primal and to the required standard
• Complete all tasks on the Cutting Line (including knife work)
• Competent in operating all saws on the Cutting Line, including the loin derinder

We are looking for skilled butchers to join the team at our Ballymena site (BT42 1EA ). Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a block test to determine grade to start on and relevant pay grade.

***Please note this is for experienced butchers that are currently working in or have recently worked in food production***

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):

• To work to the department targets and yields, cutting and butchering any part of the carcass to specification

Hourly Rate:

Starting at £12.86 - £18.02 per hour

Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 06:00 - 14:30
