Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods in Watton, Norfolk is seeking Abattoir Operatives to join our production line. You will rotate across tasks that require the use of a knife, working on a permanent full-time basis Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week.

You should be self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative, and comfortable working to targets in a fast-paced environment. Experience with knives and a basic level of English help, and slaughter license is a bonus.

We're looking for Abattoir Operatives to work in our Abattoir

You will be based on a production line and will rotate around a number of different tasks, which require the use of a knife.

About the shift pattern:

This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week.

The ideal candidates will:

• Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
• Enjoy working to targets in a fast-paced environment
• Possess high standards of work
• Have a basic level of both written and verbal English
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Be experienced in using knives.
• Slaughter license beneficial
• Ensure H&S and animal welfare are treated as top priority within the area

Pay and benefits:

• Hourly rate - £14.28 to £20.39 (depending on skills and license)
• Rate inclusive of £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus
• Overtime – time and a third after 44 hours
• Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions
