Job summary

Cranswick Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Production Operative (Butcher) to ensure smooth running of production. Training is provided and sponsorship is possible for eligible candidates already in the UK with relevant experience.

You will handle poultry processing, adhere to hygiene standards, and work across shifts with a rate of pay around £13.79–£14.56 per hour, including attendance bonus.

Responsibilities

• Poultry butchering and processing of poultry carcasses with focus on fillet breast, thigh filleting and drum de-boning.
• Demonstrate discipline in trimming levels and product quality.
• Maintain hygiene standards as part of duties.
• Removal of feathers and internal organs, extraction of edible offal, removal of feet and head from poultry carcasses and dressing.
• Weighing, labelling, packing and stacking finished product.

Job requirements of Production Operative:

We are looking for a Butcher to join our established team here at Cranswick Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production.

We are also open to applications from candidates who are already within the UK and who require sponsorship, provided you have demonstrable relevant experience.

Shift Pattern

• Days: 06:40 – 17:10 Tuesday- Thursday and Saturday, Friday is 06:40-15:10
• Backs: 13:10-01:40 Monday & Friday, Tuesday-Thursday 17:10-01:40

Duties

• Poultry butchering and the processing of poultry carcasses with particular focus on fillet breast, thigh filleting and drum de-boning
• Able to demonstrate discipline in trimming levels and product quality
• Responsible for maintaining hygiene standards as part of duties
• Removal of feathers and internal organs, the extraction of edible offal, the removal of feet and head from poultry carcasses and dressing
• Weighing, labelling, packing and stacking of finished product as required

What you will need:

• Ideally have experience of working within the food production industry, however this is not necessary as full training will be provided

Pay and benefits:

• 1) Rate of Pay - £13.79 per hour (inclusive of £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus)
