Job summary

Morrisons in Scotland is hiring a Manufacturing Butcher - Skilled (Beef) for our abattoir. You will be multi-skilled on the deboning line, preparing primals for trimming and helping to deliver high quality meat in a safe, hygienic environment. You will follow training in food safety, work in a chilled environment between 2 and 9 degrees, and use knives or bladed machines.

Applicants with butchery and knife skills experience and a Food Safety Level 2 (desirable) will fit well. Full PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Has previous butchery and knife skills experience.
• Able to maintain concentration and high standards in a fast paced environment.
• Able to understand training and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate deboning line to remove small bones from primals of meat.
• Prepare primal for trimming and support efficient production.
• Follow health and safety processes and food safety training.
• Work in a chilled environment between 2 and 9 degrees.
