Job summary

Charters School in Ascot is seeking a dedicated Sixth Form Progress Coach to support students’ academic progress, wellbeing and engagement. You will work as part of the Sixth Form team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations during term time, with hours between 9am and 3pm.

Key duties include one-to-one progress meetings, monitoring targets, and collaboration with Student Support Officers and teachers. A calm, organised approach and First Aid readiness are desirable. Closing date 2 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with students and parents.
• Experience supporting young people in education or pastoral settings.
• Ability to manage behaviour consistently and supportively.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• First Aid qualification, or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual support to students, helping them stay on track academically and personally.
• Regular one-to-one progress meetings with identified students.
• Work collaboratively with Student Support Officers and Sixth Form staff.
• Communicate with students, parents/carers to monitor targets and provide regular support.
• Coordinate with teachers of identified students.
