Job summary

The Streetly Academy in Sutton Coldfield invites applications for an Assistant Headteacher - Head of Sixth Form to lead our thriving 230-student Sixth Form and join the Senior Leadership Team. You will oversee strategic and operational aspects, while also teaching your subject and shaping broader school priorities.

We seek an ambitious leader with a passion for post-16 education, strong pastoral understanding and the ability to inspire students and staff to achieve high standards and successful

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful leadership and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
• Passion for Sixth Form education and understanding of academic, pastoral and personal needs of students aged 16–19.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for their own subject.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Sixth Form, ensuring high standards of achievement, attendance and wellbeing.
• Lead teaching of your own subject and maintain strong connections with classroom practice.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders, pastoral teams, families and external partners to support progression and successful destinations.
• Play an active role in shaping the wider strategic direction of the school as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
