Job summary

The Academy is seeking an ambitious Assistant Headteacher - Head of Sixth Form to lead a thriving 230-student Sixth Form and drive excellence, achievement and destinations for every student.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Sixth Form, work with curriculum and pastoral teams, families and external partners, and maintain strong classroom practice by teaching your own subject.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful leadership and raising outcomes for young people.
• Passion for Sixth Form education and understanding of 16–19 needs.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff toward high expectations.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Sixth Form.
• Lead a team including an Assistant Head of Year and Sixth Form Mentor/Administrator.
• Teach your own subject to stay connected with classroom practice.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders, pastoral teams, families and external partners.
