Job summary

Heron Hall Academy seeks a dynamic Head of Sixth Form to shape the future of our post-16 provision. You will lead Year 12 and 13, raise academic progress and enhance the student experience in a growing Sixth Form environment.

You will work with SLT and external partners to secure strong outcomes, support staff development and promote safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations across the academy.

Qualifications

• Strong experience of teaching in secondary education, including at Key Stage 5.
• Proven track record of improving outcomes and driving positive change.
• Experience of leading and developing Sixth Form or post-16 provision.
• Strong leadership skills to inspire and develop staff.
• Understanding of post-16 curriculum, assessment and progression routes.
• Ability to use data to identify priorities and improve outcomes.
• Commitment to high expectations, inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, staff and external partners.
• Genuine passion for helping young people succeed and progress.
