Job summary

BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited seeks a Site Technician to support preventive and corrective maintenance across UK solar assets. The role is home based with travel within the UK, and on-site duties include HV work, plant performance and site standards.

The candidate will work with the Regional Manager and O&M coordinator, liaising with LV/HV teams and subcontractors, while meeting HSE obligations and undergoing training. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• C&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent required.
• C&G BS7671 17th/18th edition required.
• Full UK driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance (including HV) on solar plants.
• Take on-site responsibility for plant performance, quality and appearance.
• Coordinate works with the Regional Manager and O&M team.
• Liaise with internal/external maintenance teams and subcontractors.
• Participate in on-call rota for non-working hours.

Operation Services Limited## **About the role**We are recruiting into our Solar Technical team, to support and carry out all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across a portfolio of utility scale solar assets.This role will be home based but will require daily travel within region with occasional travel to other parts of the UK. ## **What you will do*** You will be required to understand the company's detailed obligations in respect of the Site/Lead Technician's assigned sites, and ensure, monitor and report on compliance with those obligations.* You required to have awareness of HSE issues, report any on site issue to the Regional Manager and HSE Manager and implement necessary measures to improve HSE.* You will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and corrective maintenance works (including HV maintenance) for solar plants to ensure the successful ongoing operation of the plants.* You will be responsible for taking primary on-site responsibility for plant performance, work quality and site appearance (both electrical, landscaping, and other).* You will be required to maintain regular contact with the Regional Manager and O&M coordinator to coordinate site works effectively and seek guidance where required.* Together with other Site Technicians you will be required to effectively resolve work tickets and report back any required information to the Asset Manager, O&M coordinator or Regional Manager (or other seniors where required) in a professional, complete and timely manner.* You will be responsible for liaising with internal and external parties such as in-house LV, HV and Ground maintenance teams, subcontractors and other third parties as required and directed.* You will be required to professionally and diligently undertake all required training and development.* You will be required to take part in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours (including bank holidays and weekend). ## **What you’ll need to succeed*** C&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent.* C&G BS7671 17th/18th edition.* Computer literate.* Can work under own initiative.* Team Player.* Full UK Driving License.* Desirable Attention to detail.* Desirable: HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent and provide a personal switching log.* Desirable: Qualifications or training in specific PV inverter technologies; Communications or networking qualifications; IOSH or NEBOSH.* Experience working on ground mounted solar farms.## **What’s in it for you?*** Private Health Insurance.* Life Assurance Cover.* Company Pension Scheme.* Flexible Working Environment.* Yearly Discretionary Performance Bonus Scheme.* Excellent Company Culture.* Mental Health First Aid support.* Employee Assistance Programme which provides all employees with 24/7 access to telephone and online counselling.* Access to an online benefits portal which includes travel and shopping discounts, healthy living advice & a financial well-being resource bank.* Cycle 2 Work Salary Sacrifice Scheme.* Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme (eligibility after 12 months employment).
