Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a practical Site Supervisor for a welcoming primary school in Bath. You will manage day-to-day site condition, safety, and security of the school premises, coordinating with contractors and staff to maintain a high-quality environment for pupils.

You will inspect buildings and grounds, carry out minor repairs where appropriate, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in site supervision, facilities, maintenance or a similar role.
• Practical and proactive approach to maintenance and safety.
• Good general maintenance knowledge and ability to identify hazards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections of the school buildings and grounds.
• Identify maintenance issues and arrange appropriate action with contractors.
• Complete minor repairs where possible and report major issues.
• Monitor classrooms, corridors and outdoor spaces for hazards.
• Support site security and health and safety procedures.
• Prepare rooms for meetings, assemblies and school events.
• Move furniture and coordinate deliveries as needed.
• Open and secure premises and manage visitor access.
