Are you looking for a Site Supervisor role? Interested in working for a leading Building Contractor that specialise in Social Housing Maintenance?

VANRATH are recruiting a Site Supervisor to work on Social Housing Maintenance projects for a leading Building Contractor, covering properties in Belfast and towards Ards and Bangor.

Remuneration:
£37,000 - £39,000 DOE + van / fuel card / benefits

Client:
Our client is a leading Building Contractor that specialise in Social Housing Maintenance contracts, delivering planned and responsive maintenance projects throughout Northern Ireland. The company have a great reputation for providing a fully committed and quality focused service.

Overview:
The Supervisor will lead and coordinator day to day operations of a responsive maintenance team, delivering repairs and minor works across a portfolio of social housing properties. Ensure that works are completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with health and safety regulations, while also supporting a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of multi-trade operatives delivering responsive repairs and maintenance tasks to tenanted and void properties
  • Plan and allocate daily workloads based on priorities, resources, and service-level agreements
  • Monitor the quality and progress of works, ensuring compliance with job specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Carry out site visits to inspect work in progress and completed jobs, providing feedback, guidance, and mentoring to operatives
  • Ensure health and safety practices are followed on site, including toolbox talks, site audits, and risk assessments
  • Act as the first point of contact for on-site queries, resolving issues and escalating to management when necessary
  • Liaise with customers, housing officers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate access, resolve issues, and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Assist operatives with hands-on work when needed, particularly for complex or urgent repairs
  • Ensure operatives accurately complete job records, timesheets, and digital documentation via handheld devices or systems
  • Identify / manage training needs and performance issues within the team
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota management, if applicable
  • Maintain tools, plant, and vehicles in line with company policies


The Ideal Person:

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 trades background
  • Experience working as a Supervisor or Foreman
  • Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance trades
  • Track record supervising a team and managing day to day site operations
  • Previous experience working on Social Housing Maintenance is ideal
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments and site compliance
  • Valid CSR Card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Drivers licence essential as travel is required
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Proficiency in using job management systems or handheld digital devices
