Job Description:

Summary:

We are seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the safe and efficient execution of utility-scale solar and BESS construction activities in the UK. This role is essential in managing site teams, ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards, and supporting the successful delivery of INTEC’s renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise on-site construction activities, including civil, mechanical, and electrical works.

• Support the Site Manager with daily coordination of subcontractors and site logistics.

• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance is strictly maintained (HSE inspections, inductions, toolbox talks).

• Monitor site productivity and ensure works are progressing in line with project schedule.

• Conduct quality inspections and report any non-conformities or delays to the Site Manager.

• Maintain site records, daily reports, and photographs of key works.

• Assist in resolving on-site conflicts and technical queries from subcontractors.

• Liaise with delivery drivers, crane operators, and plant personnel to ensure safe material handling.

• Support commissioning, testing, and site handover activities.

• Report incidents, near-misses, and support root cause investigations where needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience supervising construction activities on utility-scale solar PV, BESS, or similar infrastructure projects.

• Good understanding of civil and electrical site operations and construction sequencing.

• SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid certification required.

• Familiarity with UK construction and HSE legislation (CDM, LOLER, PUWER, etc.).

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage subcontractor performance and ensure site discipline.

• Proficiency in basic reporting tools (MS Office, digital forms, checklists).

• Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.

• A passion for sustainability and environmental solutions.
