Job summary

RSS Infrastructure (RSSI) is recruiting a Setting Out Engineer to support major infrastructure and rail projects, including HS2-related works. This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on setting out, surveying, and delivering construction to specification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of surveying, setting out, and dimensional control.
• Experience using Total Stations, GPS and survey equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• HS2 or major infrastructure experience desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Setting out works in line with drawings and specifications.
• Establishing and maintaining survey control and site benchmarks.
• Carrying out engineering and as-built surveys.
• Verifying dimensions and ensuring compliance with tolerances.
• Supporting site teams with technical guidance.
• Maintaining accurate engineering and quality records.
