Job summary

A leading food production company in Greater London seeks a Site Services Technician to maintain services aligned with Planned Preventative Maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent, with experience in reactive and planned maintenance in regulated environments. Qualifications

• Experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance within a regulated environment.
• Previous work experience within Hard FM and similar site service environments.
• Experience in HV/LV systems is highly desirable.
• HV/LV systems experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining services across the site in line with Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Conducting equipment and plant condition appraisals.
• Challenging current processes to improve operation and efficiency.
• Maintaining awareness of relevant QEHS compliance.
• Authorizing permits and ensuring safe work.
• Weekend shift cover approximately one weekend in four.

Job description

Site Services Technician – Oakthorpe, N13 6BU

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hour day shifts

How you will make an impact

• Maintaining services across the site in line with the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and providing corrective maintenance for equipment failures and breakdowns (industrial steam boiler, waste heat boiler, refrigeration plant, DAF plant, hot & cold water systems, heat exchangers, cooling tower, HVAC).
• Conduct equipment and plant condition appraisals and work alongside OEMs when services are carried out.
• Challenge current processes and practices to identify new opportunities to improve operation and efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of relevant QEHS compliance such as Legionella, fire safety, PSSR, LOTO.
• Authorise permits and ensure work is carried out safely.
• Weekend shift cover to support production – approximately one weekend in four.

What will make you successful

• The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 NVQ or recognised engineering qualification, with experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance within a regulated environment.
• Previous work experience within Hard FM and similar site service environments.
• A positive and resilient approach to problem solving, team working and continuous improvement.
• Experience in HV/LV systems is highly desirable.
