Job summary

The Grammar School at Leeds is seeking a site services operative to join the site operations team at our 140-acre campus in Alwoodley, LS17. You will provide a professional presence on site, support lettings, visitors, events and sports activities, and ensure facilities and outdoor areas are prepared and maintained to a high standard.

The role requires flexibility, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and physical fitness for patrols and manual tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of security and safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexibly including weekends.
• Physically able to carry out patrols and manual tasks.
• First Aid qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional presence across the school site.
• Support lettings users, visitors, events, sports fixtures and community activities.
• Prepare facilities, rooms, pitches and external areas for use.
• Respond to operational and helpdesk requests.
• Assist with car park and pedestrian management.
• Carry out site inspections and patrols to identify safety, security or maintenance concerns.
