Job summary

Samworth Brothers is seeking a Site Services Multi Skilled Engineer to maintain and improve utilities, facilities and engineering systems that support production. You will handle planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns and work with operations to maximise reliability while minimising downtime.

Combining electrical and mechanical skills, you’ll help ensure critical services remain available for manufacturing activities and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Engineering.
• Demonstrated multi-skilled capability across electrical and mechanical tasks.
• Experience maintaining utilities, facilities or site service equipment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on site services and utility equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore services in a safe and timely manner.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement effective repairs.
• Monitor and maintain critical site service systems and infrastructure.
• Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with installation, modification and commissioning of equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and maintenance documentation.
• Work with contractors and external service providers when required.
