Job summary

Samworth Brothers is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead a large multi-skilled engineering function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role demands a strong people leader with a proven track record in reliability, performance improvement and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will manage up to 25 engineers and supervisors, own KPIs and budgets, and drive change with senior stakeholders. A relocation package supports long‑term commitment across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar senior leadership role in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Experience leading large engineering teams (20+ staff) and driving performance improvements.
• Strong people leadership, coaching and succession planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a maintenance team of up to 25 FTEs to deliver reliability and continuous improvement.
• Drive planned maintenance, asset care, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own departmental KPIs, budgets, and resource planning.
• Lead organisational change and embed best practice across engineering functions.
