Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs across the site.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to plant and equipment.
• Support plant start-up and shutdown procedures, including boilers and refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine inspections, tests, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Accurately complete maintenance records using the Piranha system.
• Assist with audit preparation activities, including customer, technical, and pest control requirements.

Job Description

As a Site Services Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of site services equipment and infrastructure. No two days are the same, and you'll be expected to tackle both electrical and mechanical challenges across a large manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs across the site.
• Diagnosing faults and undertaking effective repairs to plant and equipment.
• Supporting plant start-up and shutdown procedures, including boilers, refrigeration systems, and other critical utilities.
• Performing routine inspections, checks, tests, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Completing maintenance records accurately using the Piranha Planned Maintenance System.
• Assisting with audit preparation activities, including customer, technical, and pest control requirements.

This is not an exhaustive list and daily tasks will vary significantly.

Qualifications

We're seeking a versatile and proactive engineer who can work independently and respond effectively to a wide range of maintenance challenges.

Requirements

• Time-served Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (multi-skilled experience highly advantageous).
• Qualification in electrical installation and commissioning would be highly advantageous or willingness to undertake training in this area.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
• Experience supporting and working alongside contractors.
• Forward-thinking approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
