Please note this position is based wholly on-site in Gloucester and is not a hybrid role.

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for a Site Security Controller to manage the security operations of an important BAE Systems Digital Intelligence site based in Gloucester. The role involves helping secure the business by implementing Company and client security requirements related to personnel, infrastructure, information, and assets. You will provide day-to-day operational support, guidance, and advice to staff on all aspects of protective security, ensuring security policies are followed and risks are managed appropriately. The ideal candidate will take ownership of securing the site 24/7, managing time, personnel, and infrastructure to maintain the integrity of the site and its classified areas. You will work independently and as part of a team, liaising with key stakeholders on sensitive matters.

• Serve as the first point of contact for site security and security accreditation issues.
• Ensure adherence to UK legislative and Company policies across the site.
• Conduct site-specific and corporate Security Awareness training in various formats.
• Manage AACS, IDS, and CCTV systems across the site.
• Liaise with project teams and respond to Security Aspect Letters related to on-site projects.
• Investigate security incidents promptly, ensuring appropriate response or escalation.
• Highlight and escalate risks to the Regional Security Manager.
• Collaborate with and advise the wider UK Security team.
• Coordinate with the IT Security team to ensure network security and legislative compliance.

Your skills and experiences

• Knowledge of UK Government Security frameworks such as GovS 007, JSP 440/441/490, and Information Assurance Standards.
• Experience with Physical Security Integrated Management Systems.
• Previous experience as a Site Security Controller.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization and delegation skills.
• Maintain the highest level of discretion and integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering briefs and presentations to staff and clients.
