Job summary

Randstad Delivery seeks an experienced Section Engineer to join our project delivery team near Peterhead. You will lead engineering controls, quality management, health and safety standards, productivity tracking, and commercial reporting across site operations.

The role requires proven setting-out expertise on civil projects, strong ACP knowledge, RAMS creation, and effective coordination of weekly programmes with site teams. A valid driver's license is essential for site access.

Qualifications

• Proven experience carrying out complex setting out on civil infrastructure/construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Setting Out: Carry out complex setting out, establish primary setting out control, and mentor junior engineering staff on setting out techniques.
• Quality Assurance: Produce Activity Control Plans (ACPs), maintain quality records, monitor tolerances, and raise/manage NCRs and TQs.
• Health, Safety & Environment: Prepare RAMS; manage permits to work; conduct short-term inductions.
• Productivity & Planning: Develop weekly programmes aligned with stage programmes; monitor KPIs; communicate targets to workforce.
• Commercial Support: Collate weekly measures; monitor plant and labour reconciliations; track waste vs budgets; identify additional work.
