Job summary

Randstad NV seeks an experienced Section Engineer to lead setting-out, safety, and quality control near Peterhead. You will oversee complex setting out, ACPs and RAMS, manage permits, and drive weekly programmes while reporting on productivity and costs.

The role requires hands-on oversight of site operations, ensuring health and safety compliance and alignment with contract documents and tolerances on civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out complex setting out on civil infrastructure/construction projects.
• Strong understanding of ACPs, specifications, contract documents and tolerances.
• Practical knowledge of RAMS creation and site health and safety controls.
• Experience working with 13-week stage programmes and weekly targets.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & setting out: carry out complex setting out, establish primary control, mentor junior staff.
• Quality Assurance: produce ACPs, maintain quality records, monitor tolerances, manage NCRs and TQs.
• Health, Safety & Environment: prepare RAMS, RAMS; manage Permits to Work; conduct inductions.
• Productivity & Planning: develop weekly programmes aligned with stage programmes, monitor KPIs.
• Commercial Support: collate weekly measures, reconcile plant and labour, monitor waste and identify extra work.
