Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Contractor Supervising Officer (CSO) for our Derby site. The role focuses on safe delivery of subcontractor works, RAMS compliance, and strong liaison between contractors, JLL, and the client.

Based in Raynesway, Derby, the CSO will oversee site safety, conduct on-site RAMS reviews, sign-off paperwork, and participate in training such as Hot Works and Excavation. A proactive, communicative, and highly organized professional is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-level communication abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and multi-task.
• IOSHH - Managing Safety training to be provided by JLL; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure subcontractor works are delivered safely and per client RAMS and control processes.
• Liaise between subcontractor, JLL and client to maintain excellent communications.
• Appointing person for disciplines based on experience and competency (training provided).
• Work with subcontractors to ensure safe delivery of works on site.
• Review RAMS and identify gaps; challenge where needed.
• Ensure all works comply with RAMS; conduct on-site audits of contractors.
• Complete subcontractor work packs with all paperwork and signatures
• Ensure contractors sign in/out according to site processes
• Archive completed subcontractor work packs for audits
• Understand and accurately complete all work-related documentation
• Attend and participate in training and appraisal activities including Hot Works and Excavation
• Undertake additional duties as required by capability
