Interaction Recruitment is recruiting Site Operatives (Cleaning) in Musselburgh. You will perform general site cleaning and housekeeping, maintain cleanliness across areas, and support waste handling and site operations to ensure a safe, efficient facility.

The role offers a structured 12-week temp-to-perm path, with 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday–Friday, and £12.71 per hour. Overtime is available at 1.5x the standard rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in recycling or waste management is desirable.
• Industrial cleaning or site operative experience is an advantage.
• Good attitude, strong work ethic and teamwork.
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Telehandler licence is advantageous but not required.

Site Operative / Cleaning Operative

Location: Musselburgh, Scotland

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (12-week temp-to-perm)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting 4-5 Site Operatives / Cleaning Operatives to join a busy anaerobic digestion and recycling facility based in Musselburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an essential environmental services operation, supporting the processing and recycling of food waste. The successful candidates will help maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment across the site.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a recycling, waste management, yard or production environment is desirable.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or general site operative duties would be an advantage.
• A good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
• A valid telehandler licence would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
