Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting 4–5 Site Operatives / Cleaning Operatives to join a busy anaerobic digestion and recycling facility based in Musselburgh. This is a 12-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm shifts.

You will carry out cleaning, housekeeping and support waste handling across the site, helping maintain a safe, clean environment and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in recycling, waste management, yard or production environment desirable.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or general site operative duties advantageous.
• Good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
• A telehandler licence would be highly advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general site cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Maintaining cleanliness across operational areas and workspaces.
• Supporting waste handling, recycling and site operations.
• Assisting with the safe movement and management of materials.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the facility operates efficiently.

Site Operative / Cleaning Operative

Location: Musselburgh, Scotland
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (12-week temp-to-perm)

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime: Available at 1.5x the standard rate

About the Role
