Job summary

Daval Associates is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative for a busy waste management site in Rotherham. The role involves operating site machinery, loading recyclables, and working to safety standards. Immediate starts are preferred on a full-time basis with an alternating shift pattern and approved overtime usage.

Key responsibilities include daily checks, reporting defects, and maintaining operational efficiency while complying with site rules and health & safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Skilled Operative in waste management, recycling, manufacturing or construction environments.
• Experience operating site machinery or mobile plant is advantageous.
• Licenses or tickets for plant/machinery are helpful.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate site machinery and equipment for processing and loading of recyclable materials.
• Carry out daily equipment and machinery checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure waste and recyclables are loaded safely and correctly.
• Assist with movement and processing of materials across the site.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow health & safety procedures.

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off

Working Hours: 07:00-17:00

Overtime: Available subject to business needs

The Role

Our client, a leading name in the waste management industry, is urgently seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join their growing team in Rotherham.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate site machinery and equipment for the processing and loading of recyclable materials.
• Carry out daily equipment and machinery checks.
• Report any defects, damage or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure waste and recyclable materials are loaded correctly and safely.
• Assist with the efficient movement and processing of materials across the site.
• Promptly clear any spillages and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Operate machinery and equipment with care, diligence and attention to safety.
• Follow all site rules, company procedures and health & safety protocols.
• Work effectively as part of a team to maintain efficient site operations.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Operative within waste management, recycling, manufacturing, construction or a similar environment.
• Experience operating mobile plant or site machinery is highly desirable.
• Relevant plant/machinery licenses or tickets are advantageous.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely within a busy operational environment.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Immediate availability preferred.
