Job summary

The Staffing Network Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative for a waste management site in Rotherham. You will operate site machinery, conduct daily checks, and ensure safe loading of materials. Immediate starts are preferred and overtime is available based on business needs.

Working hours are 07:00-17:00 with a 4 on / 4 off pattern, in a busy recycling environment. This role offers ongoing work with an established employer and requires good English and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management, recycling, manufacturing, construction or similar environment.
• Experience operating mobile plant or site machinery is highly desirable.
• Licenses or tickets for plant/machinery are advantageous.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a busy environment.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate site machinery and equipment for processing/loading recyclable materials.
• Carry out daily equipment and machinery checks.
• Report defects, damage or maintenance promptly.
• Ensure waste and recyclable materials are loaded correctly and safely.
• Assist with movement and processing of materials across the site.
• Clear spillages and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Operate machinery with care and safety.
• Follow site rules, procedures and health and safety protocols.
• Work effectively as part of a team to maintain site operations.

Pay Rate: £17.47 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off

Working Hours: 07:00-17:00

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate site machinery and equipment for the processing and loading of recyclable materials.


• Carry out daily equipment and machinery checks.


• Report any defects, damage or maintenance requirements promptly.


• Ensure waste and recyclable materials are loaded correctly and safely.


• Assist with the efficient movement and processing of materials across the site.


• Promptly clear any spillages and maintain a clean and safe working environment.


• Operate machinery and equipment with care, diligence and attention to safety.


• Follow all site rules, company procedures and health & safety protocols.


• Work effectively as part of a team to maintain efficient site operations.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Operative within waste management, recycling, manufacturing, construction or a similar environment.


• Experience operating mobile plant or site machinery is highly desirable.


• Relevant plant/machinery licenses or tickets are advantageous.


• Good level of spoken and written English.


• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.


• Ability to follow instructions and work safely within a busy operational environment.


• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
