Job summary

Frontier Agriculture is seeking a Site Operative to support grain and rice storage operations at our UK site. You will assist Site Management in health, safety, and quality procedures, and help meet customer requirements for drying, cleaning and storage to maintain high service standards.

The role involves housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and support in the grain testing lab, with training provided for the right candidate.

  • Ability to collaborate and also work independently without supervision.
  • Workshop/Mechanical skills (desirable).
  • Loading shovel license (desirable).
  • Tele-handler/FLT license (desirable).
  • Training provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling Site Management with all aspects of Grain and Rice Storage Operations.
  • Assist to comply with Health, Safety and Quality procedures and keep records.
  • Work to customer requirements for drying, cleaning and storage to meet quality targets.
  • Ensure general housekeeping and hygiene of the site.
  • Maintain stores, plant and equipment to a high standard.
  • Assist within the grain testing lab/weighbridge.

Your Role

As a Site Operative your role will involve:

  • Assisting Site Management with all aspects of Grain and Rice Storage Operations
  • Assisting Site Management to comply with Health, Safety and Quality procedures including keeping records to ensure compliance
  • Working to customer requirements regarding drying, cleaning and storage operations in order to produce desired levels of quality and service
  • Ensuring general housekeeping and hygiene of the site is maintained
  • Ensuring the stores, plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard
  • Assisting within the grain testing lab/weighbridge
