Job summary

Frontier Agriculture Limited is seeking a Mobile Seed Plant Operator to join the Nayland team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves driving to farms, processing farm-saved seed, sampling and maintaining mobile machinery, and supporting the in-house fabrication of bespoke mobile seed processors.

Key requirements include a Full UK driving licence, willingness to undergo full training, and good communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required (HGV Class 2 would be an advantage but full training will be given)
• Experience in Agricultural, Mechanical or grain handling would be an advantage; PA1 & PA11 Training provided for Seed Treatment Handling & Application
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
• Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively

Responsibilities

• Run the mobile seed plant to clean and treat various products
• Service the mobile seed plant to the required standards
• Supervise support staff whilst operating on the customers premises
• Assist the Site Manager to carry out regular safety checks
• Organise the loading of chemical and bag requirements on to vehicles, as per customer orders
• Delivery of Crop Protection products during periods of the year

Job Description

We are looking for a Mobile Seed Plant Operator to join the Frontier team, based at Nayland on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will be responsible for driving to farms and processing farm-saved seed, checking quality of the seed, taking samples and maintaining mobile machinery always ensuring the site/machinery is clean and tidy and health and safety processes are always adhered to. Alongside this we are looking for someone to support the workshop fabrication team with the in-house manufacture of our bespoke mobile seed processors.

About You
