Job summary

ABM is seeking a Site Operations Manager in Durham to lead janitorial and waste management across the site, ensuring the building and car parks are maintained and safe.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage up to 70 staff, oversee the rota, payroll, KPI reporting, audits and incident records, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires flexibility, a proactive approach, and budget control in a 24-hour operation.

Qualifications

• Understanding of janitorial services.
• Understanding of waste management services.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations.
• Health & Safety Certificate.
• Strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the on-site janitorial and waste management programme.
• Oversee staff scheduling, payroll and budgeting with KPI adherence.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and health and safety policies.
• Provide daily/weekly client audits and monthly reports.
• Maintain records of training, absence, holidays and shifts.
