Job summary

Savills plc in London is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a 667-apartment Build-to-Rent development in Ealing, ensuring a market-leading resident experience and profitability.

You will oversee onsite lettings and property management teams, drive efficiency, sustainability and customer service, and support the Senior Portfolio Manager with portfolio-wide initiatives and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of 6+ people.
• Proven ability to manage expenditure against budget.
• Understanding H&S compliance and complex building matters.
• Excellent written and spoken etiquette.
• Organised, meticulous, tenacious with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set clear objectives and measure performance.
• Conduct regular 121 meetings, team meetings and appraisals.
• Provide equal opportunities and development plans in line with D&I strategy.
• Adhere to company processes in people management and be a role model.
• Lead recruitment and induction planning for the team.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff including onboarding and career planning.
• Lead performance management with feedback, recognition and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure productivity, quality, continuous improvement and KPI achievement.
• Provide incident response support and liaise with H&S where required.
• Manage leasing strategy with Portfolio Manager for initial let up and stabilisation.
• Control costs within budget, purchase through approved suppliers, and review invoices.
